Each day the SALT students have a devotional (Scripture reading) they are asked to read and they will respond on the worksheet prior to the next Wednesday Night, when that devotional is due. The first one is done together on Wednesday nights. (Note: Saturdays and Sundays are combined.)
So... Why A Devotional?
Using a Devotional provides a practical way to systematically break down the deeper topics found in Scripture. As Christians, we are called to live out our lives in a specific way:
We are to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ – 2 Peter 3:18 We are sanctified by the Word – John 17:17 We are to rightly divide the Word of truth – 2 Tim. 2:15 We are to be ready to give an answer – I Pet. 3:15 We do not live by bread alone – Matt. 4:4 We overcome sin by memorizing scripture – Psalm 119:11
